  • EPICS projects give engineering students,along with students in other majors, the opportunity to design and deliver specialized devices or aids foor people and agencies in the Centre region.

  • EPICS started at Purdue University; now being developed at universities such as Notre Dame, WIsconsin, Georgia Tech, Iowa State and now.....PENN STATE.

  • Partnerships with local community organizations: students + community partner identify engineering problems faced by the agency.

  • Multidisciplinary projects: EE, CSE, ME, CE, Sociology, Visual Design, Education, Child Development.....

  • EPICS projects provide real definition, design, building, testing, deployment, and support experience
